Vientiane: chill and delectable–

WOW!  We love this town…Vientiane, the capital of Laos.

We learn that the pronunciation of this city is “vee-en-chen”…not “vee-en-tee-an.”  Ok, got it, good…’vee-en-chen’ it is.

We also learn that there are lots of pockets of chill vibes and tasty grub all over the place…the grub includes Lao, Vietnamese, Thai, and French cuisines–often some of these cuisines are mish-mashed together giving us flavors that delight and satisfy in big ways…mmmm, aaaah!

There are lots of vats (Buddhist temples) all over the place–we love this.  There are lots of plants and birds…lots of chirping can be heard, often exotic Southeast Asian chirping–we adore this.  There are lots of unexpected things: croissants in wonderful French bakeries, a Hard Rock Cafe–blaaaahh!, homemade ice cream all around us–SIEP-LAI-LAI. . .and so much more.

In short, this town feels open for business and eager to please anyone and everyone who appears on the streets lookin’ for somethin’ good to eat or drink or buy or procure.  Just smile and be nice, and a lot of good can happen for a visitor to Vientiane.

I send you welcoming vibes from the capital of Laos. . .feel them. . .they are most-worthy of your attention.

It’s lovely out there.
