March is roaring in like a little pussycat, and we are hungry…time to check out Pastis in Wynwood…let’s see what’s what.
Keith McNally has teamed up with Stephen Starr to bring Pastis to Miami…this is making lots of people very happy.
This hotspot is located right across the street from Morimoto. . .amazing! Fabulous ramen and other cooked Japanese goodies on one side of the street…and wonderful bistro fare on the other side. . .our cups and bowls and glasses and plates definitely runneth over when we hit this neighborhood.
In short, this Pastis is nearly a carbon copy of the one up in NYC…same decor, same crisp vibe, same delicious beverages, same tasty grub and, most importantly, same wonderful welcoming service. We love it here, but I must admit it is a little strange to feel all the NYC stuff with the Magic City environment all around us–ah well, I’ll get over it. . .
. . .nevertheless, all is good, and we will be happy to come back any time.
The martinis, the wine, the onion soup, the burger, the fries, etc. are all cooked wonderfully and delivered to us with a smile…
…we are even lucky to score a corner table with the leather bench seats, the rail above our heads for bag storage and all of the ‘faded’ mirrors here, there and everywhere. . .makes us feel right at home.
So, the next time you find yourself hankerin’ for a little NYC love tinged with Wynwood vibes make your way over to Pastis Miami. . .they will treat you right–I gar-ron-taaaayy!
