100th anniversary WWI–

sc000a7ddesc0000c2f3 sc000b458b  sc000ac7abWell now. . .today is quite an auspicious day–the 100th anniversary of the beginning of hostilities in World War I.  From the vineyards of France to the beautiful coast of southern Italy the spector of death struck around nine million people by the time the war was called off in 1918.  The borders of Europe changed drastically, new countries were created, the Austro-Hungarian Empire came to an end, the Ottoman Empire came to an end, and a ‘victor’s peace’ was imposed on a humiliated Germany setting the stage for even bigger and badder wars: WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Chinese Civil War, etc. and so on.  Many thought that humans had learned something from all of this devastation, but alas, this does not seem to be the case with Russia/Ukraine happening, Syria happening, Israel/Hamas happening, Nigeria/Boko Haram happening, Kurds/Iraqis happening, the U.S. backing various factions of their choosing, and the list can go on.  A guy was interviewed on NPR yesterday regarding the anniversary of WWI, and he said something that stuck with me. . .he said, “there seems to be something inherently wrong with the human race” as he referenced the multitude of atrocities that humans perform on other humans–specifically he was thinking about the one million Rwandans who were hacked to death with machetes by their neighbors because they came from what is perceived to be an inferior tribe.  Things like this have happened forever and ever. . .something inherently wrong, indeed.

So, we remember the beginning of World War I, and we hope the powers-that-be learn something. . .don’t hold your breathe.

In spite of all of the above, I send you joyous vibes from Bordeaux, France;  Positano, Italy; and Prague, Czech Republic. . .feel them. . .they are as good as it gets for us.

NATO troops in Ukraine…

sc000a7dde sc000ac7ab sc000add7a…feels like a dangerous slippery slope to me.  I know that lines have to be drawn to maintain “order” and “stability” on our planet because it is a competitive world of limited space and resources. . .this is a big part of reality, and you know what?. . .reality bites some times.  Competition–blah!  Cooperation, collaboration, and understanding–mmm, aaaahh!–if only these were the main drivers of human behavior. . .if only.

I send sculptural and big-slide vibes to all of the forces amassing on the Ukraine-Russia border. . .feel them. . .they are the best I got for ya.

Default avoided…for now–

sc000ac7ab sc000a7ddeBAM!  Congratulations to the U.S. government for reaching a deal to avoid credit default. . .for now.  But as the above statues in Prague remind us, financial death has taken a seat but continues to lurk. . .and another sort of demise remains on our backs riding us like rented mules. . .mmmm, aaaaah. I love these statues because they remind us that time is short, and we gotta do whatever we can to keep having fun. . .right here, right now.

I send all government workers and you, my dear followers, well-grounded vibes from Prague. . .feel them. . .they are good for us all.

Old Town Square–

sc000a95c1 sc000aa04dHere is the Old Town Square in Prague, Czech Republic.  This could possibly be the most beautiful city square in the world.  I am hard-pressed to think of one that is more spectacular and gorgeous and historic.  I am full of joy as I walk through this jewel on the planet Earth.

The building with the dials is the famous Prague Astronomical Clock.  It was installed here in 1410 and still works perfectly.  In fact, though it is only the third oldest astronomical clock in the world, it is actually the oldest one that still works.  Fabulous!  Where is the moon in relationship to the Earth right at this moment?  This clock will tell you. . .amazing.  I absolutely love the Prague Astronomical Clock.

It’s lovely out there.

Kafka. . .Mozart–

sc000a8bea sc000abdd5Above you see the former home of Franz Kafka. . .wow!  One of the greatest writers ever lived in this little ‘house’ in the center of Prague.  He probably walked around this ‘hood and came up with the idea for The Metamorphosis as well as his many other fabulous works.  Feel the creative vibes here. . .they are good for you.

The building below is the Estates Theater.  This is where Mozart conducted the debut of his opera, ‘Don Giovanni.’  Wow. . .talk about creative vibes. . .they are just oozing out of this place.  I am sooo honored to be here and to channel some of the good vibes from this building to you wherever you are.  Feel them. . .they are juicy.

Street art–

sc000a7dde sc000ac7abThe art and sculpture of Prague are fabulous.  Pieces are placed all over the city.  It is wonderful to walk around here because you never know what you are going to see around the next corner.  The Czechs have no problem meditating on death, the human condition, and the absurdity of just about everything.  I love Czech art.

I send you sculptured vibes from Prague. . .feel them. . .they are real.

It’s lovely out there. . .and time is short. . .enjoy!

Prague–

sc000a7081 sc000a64a6BAM!  Here I am in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.  This city is absolutely gorgeous.  It sits on the banks of the Vltava River. . .there is a famous tune called ‘My Vltava’ composed by Smetana–the most revered Czech composer.  Look it up on YouTube. . .sweet, sweet tune. . .you will love it.

Above you see a grand vista of Prague shot from Prague Castle up on the city’s most prominent hill.  Below this you see Wenceslas Square–this is where the so-called ‘Velvet Revolution’ started after a couple people burned themselves to death on the steps of the government building at the end of the square.  After lots of peaceful struggle and resistance, the Soviet Union disintegrated, Communist rule went away, and Vaclav Havel was elected president of Czechoslovakia after spending many years in prison while leading the push for democracy.  Feel the good, free vibes from Prague. . .they are revolutionary.

Also, the best beer I have ever consumed is here in Prague and the Czech Republic in general.  The Germans come here for beer drinking vacations. . .that says it all.  Drink up. . .time is short.  Jaaaaa!

It’s lovely out there.
