Arch, sun, open highway, etc.–

MMM!  We keep headin’ north through Utah and come upon ‘Wilson Arch’…a mighty fine arch as arches go.  Big, roundish, arch-like…the quintessence or archness. . .we now love Wilson Arch–mmm, aaaahh!

Why did Wilson get to name this arch?  What did he do that was so archly?  Did he donate funds for the refurbishment of the arch?  Did he actually gouge out this arch from the rock and claim that it is millions of years old?  Was he simply the only dude around for hundreds of miles making it easy for him to name whatever things he wanted?  We have questions…we want answers…we will Google this thing to learn more.  Also, we could just read the sign posted in front of the arch…yes, we could just do this. . .and maybe we will on our next trip out here in the great west of the U.S. of A….in the meantime it’s really not that important in the grand scheme of things–jaaaa!!

Come on out here some time…drive up and down Highway 191 in Utah…the landscape changes every twenty miles or so, and there is soooo much to see. . .

. . .we send you warm and wide-open vibes from Highway 191 out here in Utah…feel them…they will help you breathe easier today and every day.

It’s lovely out there.

Mexican Hat Rock, ROCKS!

Yes, it’s called the Mexican Hat Rock, and it’s located on Highway 163 or 191 heading north straight up Utah…or you could head south back down to the bottom of the state–totally up to you…free to do as you please, Louise.

Lots of fun to visualize this whole area being under water some millions of years ago and contemplate the friction of the water slowly etching this particular rock into this particular shape…then life develops…then humanoid life develops…continents are formed…water recedes…tribes are formed, then larger groups, then borders are drawn and nations are formed…finally a nation called “Mexico” is formed…they make hats of a certain shape…other nations notice this, and BOOM some genius names this rock formation the Mexican Hat Rock.  Gotta call it somethin’, right?  Right. . .funny…silly human race.

And now we jump back in our car and head on down the road excited by what we will see next…roadtrippin’ is fun–jaaa!!
