Oldy but a goody–

IMG_1115 IMG_1119BOOM!  It’s always fun to pop into El Quijote in the Chelsea Hotel on West 23rd Street in Manhattan, New York City.  The hotel is closed and being renovated into some kind of private club by a real estate developer, but the El Quijote rocks on.  El Quijote is stuck in the 1960s or 1970s. . .wacky decor, cozy dark bar, huge plates of pasta and lobster and clams and burritos and anything else you want. . .and the place is full of characters from all species and walks of life.  Absolutely wonderful place to pop into for a generously-poured glass of whiskey and a huge meal.  Get on in here and check it out before they shut ‘er down.  I love El Quijote, and you will too if you ever find yourself strolling along W. 23rd with a thirst and a hunger that you need to satisfy.

I send you “old-time” vibes from El Quijote. . .feel them. . .they are disappearing fast.

It’s lovely out there.
