BAM! It’s the 4th of July here in the U.S., and we are out here in the great southwest–Arizona and Utah to be specific–feeling our puniness. There are large deserts out here…there are massive rock outcroppings that have been worn down by wind and water for millions of years…there are giant holes that have been carved out by meandering rivers for millions of years…and there is tasty Wolfgang Puck-approved coffee that has existed for about two seconds and that will fuel us this morning for another two seconds or so. . .thank you, Wolfgang, thankyouverymuch.
We are puny…mmm, aaaahh–a whisp of a flake of stardust on the eye of a mosquito that disappears quickly without any fanfare at all. . .and you know what? We love it. . .we love it all. . .this precious moment, and this one, and this one, etc.–jaaa!
Enjoy all of your precious moments today wherever you are. . .enjoy the 4th or whatever you are doing today. . .keep appreciating the time we all have here together in this mysterious stardust existence. Here today. . .POOF. . .gone tomorrow, but all of these rocks and holes will still be around long after we move on to wherever we are moving. The rocks and holes and nature itself all rule. . .we just have to enjoy the ride.
Happy 4th to all of our puny friends all over planet Earth–a puny rock floating amidst the 14-billion-light-year-vastness of the universe. . .sip, savor & enjoy!
It’s lovely out there.
