This is dim sum at Tim Ho Wan in the West Kowloon section of Hong Kong, and it is all delicious. Tim Ho Wan is famous because it is the least expensive restaurant in the world to receive a Michelin star for quality–BOOM!
Probably the most famous item to gobble here is the pork filled buns. . .the buns are delicate, golden brown, and crispy on the outside…and on the inside we find a delicious pork stew concoction that makes us go, “aaaahh!”
EVERYTHING is tasty here…shrimp dumplings, pork dumplings, shrimp/veggie dumplings, veggie dumplings, tofu wraps in a rich beef sauce, etc. and so on. . .really good dim sum, really inexpensive prices, free-flowing pots of tea, and extremely delicious bites here, there and everywhere.
There are three or four of these restaurants scattered all over Hong Kong. . .I say find one, plan on waiting a bit because they are extremely popular and always packed, settle in once you get a table, and enjoy all of the goodness that comes your way in Michelin-starred quality at totally affordable prices.
I send you high bang-for-your-buck vibes from Tim Ho Wan. . .feel them. . .they will make you smile real big like.
