MMM! It’s the Heritage Tavern on Mifflin Street here in Madtown, Wiskonsen, and this place is abuzz with activity. . .lots of folks are sipping beverages and gobbling snacks at the bar, and lots of other folks are settling into tables for cozy dinners in a warm and solid-feeling tavern in the heart of town. . . mmmm, aaaah!!
We are totally happy here…and to celebrate our happiness we ingest the following items: pork liver and foie gras mousse, pork terrine, octopus salad, a truffle oil and egg thing, porchetta, crab and radish salad, and a tasty sorbet. . .all of this stuff is bold and tasty–though some items are a tad busy and overcooked…ah well, we will survive to eat another day. To make it all good, everything is washed down with a bottle of Gigondas that we are very surprised to see on the menu–MAGNIFIQUE!
The Heritage Tavern is the kind of place that we return to again and again: casual, busy, dark, and inviting. . .the entire staff are spot-on and welcoming to us, the smells of good food fill the air, and there is a lot for us to sip on. . .you will love it here if you ever make your way into this town and into this dining spot…so get yer shoes on and get on over here–it’s time to eat and drink right NOW!
