#1 hotel…Eau Claire, WI–

img_1016 img_1011 img_1020BOOM!  The number-one-rated hotel in Eau Claire, Wisconsin is The Lismore right smack dab in the heart of the downtown area.  This is a great location to be in because it is easy walking distance from the two other main areas of town: the Water Street Old Town area and the Warehouse/Phoenix Park area located just across the Eau Claire River.

The Lismore has recently been refurbished by the Doubletree Hotel Group, and it is delightful. . .there is a great indoor/outdoor bar that they call The Dive because this is where the pool used to be–they have removed the pool because there really is no need for it as it is generally cool/cold up here for about nine months each year.  And they have a good restaurant called The Informalist. . .we hate this name–feels like something Jon Taffer would come up with on Bar Rescue…in fact, we wouldn’t be shocked if this is his work. . .but the food is good so who cares, really?

The decor involves lots of reclaimed wood, steel, and rustic finishes that we like, the staff are switched-on, friendly, and efficient, and the rooms are crisp, clean, and nicely laid out. . .we love The Lismore!  Plus, they have interesting drawings, photos, and artwork on the walls–that woman is being fed a banana, isn’t she?. . .mmm, aaaahh!  Stay here if you ever find yourself exploring Eau Claire and the surrounding area. . .you will love it–I gar-ron-taaaayy!!

A drinking tip for you: be sure to try of can or three of the Gunpowder IPA produced by a local outfit called The Brewing Projekt. . .this beer has about 6.8 percent alcohol content, and it is brewed with green tea. . .really tasty and quite potent. . .jaaaa!

I send you totally restful and welcoming vibes from The Lismore Hotel in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. . .feel them. . .they are good for your belly and lower back.
