Channeling Harry Houdini–

IMG_4769IMG_4770IMG_4772IMG_4773BOOM!  I can lift heavy weights with ease just like Harry Houdini. . .I can make a magic wand float on the palm of my hand just like Harry Houdini, but I will never be Harry Houdini. . .no one ever will be, for there was only one master of illusion, escape, sleight-of-hand, mystic de-bunkery, and overall showmanship, and that was the man himself: Erich Weiss, aka, Harry Houdini.

We are overjoyed to spend time in his ‘hometown’ of Appleton, Wisconsin touring the museum they have here to honor this great dude.  If you ever find yourself toolin’ around in these parts, then be sure to stop in at The Museum in the Castle–that’s what they call it–and check out all of the good stuff they have on display. . .if you enjoy magic or anything slightly magical, then you will love this place–I gar-ron-taaaay!

I send you deceptive vibes from the Harry Houdini exhibit here in Appleton, Wisconsin. . .feel them. . .they are easier to figure out than you may suspect.

    • Yes, he is. . .do you have any background in magic? I used to do a lot of magic shows while I was in college…made some good money…lots of fun–always admired Houdini and wanted to visit his “hometown.” So fun to see that we share Hungarian heritage as well. . .hope you are well…jaaaaa!!

      • My magic background was entertaining my nieces until they were smart enough to see through my poor technique… Very cool for you to have such a skill, gotta admire that. Cheers to a great weekend ahead, enjoy a bowl or two of goulash 🙂

  1. Poor magic technique is always overcome by positive attitude. . .confident that you were/are a better magician than you think you were/are…especially with the camera. Yes, Labor Day Weekend…we are heading up to Eau Claire, Wisconsin…supposed to be lots of live music and tasty beer up there…no goulash. Only good goulash I have had is in New York and in Budapest…anyway, cheers, big ears. . .my wife is popping into HK soon–gonna enjoy some Under The Bridge Typhoon Crab while there, I hope. . .maybe she will glimpse you out of the corner of her eye. Saluti!
