JAAA! Nothing like a post-dinner stroll along the Hudson River here in Manhattan, New York City. Walking west on Spring Street down in Soho we have to have a pint of goodness at the Ear Inn–one of New York’s oldest bars–mmm, aaaahh!!…and from here we can watch the sun setting westward along the corridor-like street.
Then we walk to the western end of Spring Street and marvel at the museum-like exterior of a new Department of Sanitation building that will hold sand and salt for winter storm street clearing. . .looks like Noguchi or Phillip Johnson could have designed this thing. . .and maybe one of them did–please Google the building to learn more, if you so desire.
And after we cross over the West Side Highway we walk through Hudson River Park and tingle as we take in the shimmering and twinkling nighttime skylines of lower Manhattan and of Jersey City just across the river. . .always so fun to see all of this, be a part of all of this for a day, a week, a month, a year. . .a lifetime. New York City, mon amour, we will be at your mercy forever and ever.
I send you wandering vibes from the bars and streets of lower Manhattan here in New York City. . .feel them. . .they will make you walk a little taller and smile real big-like.
