Fayze’s is a bakery, bar, and restaurant–great combo! They bake a bread called Talame that is sort of a cross between a knish and a bagel. . .much lighter than both, really soaks up butter quite nicely, and is perfect for cleaning up a plate full of runny egg yolks and sausage gravy and cheese sauce–oh baby!! Plus, they bake lots of other breads and lots of pastries, too. We can smell breads baking as we enter the place, and it is quite alluring. . .jaaa!
They make great bloody marys at the bar. . .varieties include The Firecracker, The Bacon Mary, and a Classic. We opt for one Firecracker and one Bacon Mary to start the morning off right. . .they are both tasty, spicy, and loaded with things like shrimp, olives, peppers, onions, and BACON. . .we are happy with these.
Then we sit down to eat in the restaurant. We both order plates of hashbrowns topped with eggs, cheese sauce, bacon, sausages, and sausage gravy. . .oh man, these babies are DELECTABLE. . .really tasty. We are extremely happy with our mounds of food and multiple bloodys as served up here at Fayze’s located in the heart of La Crosse, Wisconsin. Pop in here some time if you are ever in the area. . .you will love it–I gar-ron-taaaay!
