JAAA! Here we are puttin’ on a major feed at the Glarner Stube in New Glarus, Wisconsin, and I gotta tell ya’ that we are extremely happy here. New Glarus is billed as “America’s Little Switzerland,” and this place is filled with Swiss and German treats galore. Things like cheese fondue, wienerschnitzel, jaegerschnitzel, bratwurst, sauerkraut, Swiss meatballs, and our all-time favorite: the potato roesti–a tasty pile of golden brown freshly fried potatoes cooked up with lots of cheese and butter making this dish totally delectable. . .mmm, aaaahh! The thing that really blows us away though is the cheese fondue–a classis Swiss thing–the cheese itself is smooth and delicious, plus they mix in a lot of wine…I mean A LOT of wine…giving this dish an extra kick. . .so the more bread that we dip into the wonderful fondue mixture, the more wonderful we feel along the way…jaaa!
In short, the Glarner Stube is fabulous, and you must eat here if you ever find yourself hangin’ out in New Glarus, Wiscsonsin. The atmosphere is cozy, the food is great, the beer is free-flowin’, and best of all, the staff are totally chilled and switched-on. . .overall topnotch experience.
