BOOM! It’s late here in Mineral Point, Wisconsin, i.e. about 8:30 p.m., and we want a nightcap after our fabulous meal in town. . .so we head to the Cruise Inn Bar and Grill on Commerce Street. There are a few old-timers hangin’ at the bar chatting with the bartender/owner, Cathy. . .all is calm and chilled with the Brewers game on the TV. Cathy comes over to us, says ‘hello, what’ll ya have?’ And we reply, ‘one Leinenkugel’s and one New Glarus Spotted Cow,’–quite a mouthful that really intensifies our thirst–and POW they arrive right away. We pay…about five bucks for both…and we clink bottles for a toast to celebrate our first month of living in the rolling hills of Wisconsin. . .mmmm, aaaahh!
Cathy is a great hostess here at the Cruise. . .she knows everyone in town, she knows how to run a cozy Inn right smack dab in the center of town, and she says that she makes a delicious burger. . .I am definitely gonna have to make my way back here some time soon to put her burger skills to the test. Stay tuned because you will see all of the highlights right here on GlobeHug.
I send you easygoin’ smalltown vibes from the Cruise Inn in Mineral Point, Wisconsin. . .feel them. . .they feel real good after a lot of runnin’ around doin’ who-knows-what.
