BAM! The Potosi Beer Brewing Museum is a temple to one of the world’s great beverages. Isn’t beer older than wine? I believe that it might be. . .those ancient Egyptians were brewing some of this stuff four or five thousand years ago–Google it to learn more. Right now, though, I have no time for Googling because I am immersed in the history of Potosi: the town and the brewery. These facilities are over a hundred years old–this is ancient in America, extremely young for the rest of the planet–and they have been fully refurbished so that you can have a nice time should you ever pop in here for a visit. The Potosi Brewery has not only a museum, but a restaurant, a gift shop, tours of the brewery itself, and an opportunity to meet and chat with the owner of all of the this, a dude called Gary David…jaaaa!!
It’s fun exploring an area of the planet that folks don’t pay much mind to, the midwest of the United States. We are enjoying our exploration of smalltown America. . .there is a lot to see, hear, eat, drink, and do here. . .get on over to Potosi, Wisconsin some time, you will love it–I gar-ron-taaaay!
