BAM! We now hit one of the iconic restaurants of the midwest: Cracker Barrel…this one is in Elkhart, Indiana–the RV capital of the world. . .who knew? Not I. Anyway, any time that I drive by one of these places I can hear my long-ago-passed grandma asking, “do you want to go to the Cracker Barrel for lunch?” and BOOM…here we are. They have lots of exotic stuff to eat like biscuits and sausage gravy, chicken roasted in tin foil, turkey roasted in tin foil, cheese soup, chicken sandwiches, all-day breakfast, etc.. . .all washed down with bottomless unsweetened iced-tea or mugs of coffee OR BOTH. . .jaaaa!! Plus, there is the Cracker Barrel Country Store with rocking chairs, candles, hats, stuffed animals, refrigerator magnets, and so much more. . .but no Cracker Barrel cheese–that’s a separate company, much to our disappointment. Even without the cheese of same name this place is fun and tasty. . .stop in one whenever you find yerself toolin’ around in the midwest. . .you will love it, I can most certainly gar-ron-taaaay!
I send you hearty, gut-stickin’ vibes from the Cracker Barrel in Elkhart, Indiana. . .feel them. . .they will put a smile on your face.
