We can’t believe it, but we think we have just tasted our favorite bloody mary in all of New York City and quite possibly anywhere in the country…it is here in the Russ & Daughters shop in the basement of The Jewish Museum located on Fifth Avenue and 92nd Street. . .mmm, aaahh!…this baby is GOOD! We are told that the Russ & Daughters folks juice their own tomatoes, add caraway seeds that have been soaked in vodka for twenty-four hours, worcestershire sauce, tabasco, black pepper, celery salt, probably some pickle juice, and horseradish, and all I can say is that the result is extremely tasty and delectable. I…love…this…bloody…mary.
Please pop on up to The Jewish Museum, check out some exhibits–which are all wonderful, and then pop down to the snack stand and sip on a bloody mary or three while gnoshing on bagels, lox, cream cheese, and anything else that looks good to you. Let me know what you think.
