MMM! We love diners anywhere and everywhere in the U.S., and there is a totally great one here in Middleton, Wisconsin called the Hubbard Avenue Diner. This diner is located on, you guessed it, Hubbard Avenue just off of Route 12/14 in this sprawling town west of Madison. . .it is rated ‘number one’ in several Best of Madison polls for made-from-scratch pies, all day breakfast, all day ANYTHING that you want to eat, great staff, welcoming atmosphere, and an overall wonderful diner experience.
My wife is gobbling eggs, sausage, and hash browns. . .I am gobbling the corned beef hash and eggs…plus, I have to have a slice a pie after I finish ingesting my breakfast–I go with the apple cherry blueberry double crust, and it is exceptionally light and tasty…totally love it. And the whole meal is washed down with coffee…our waitperson brings us a big pot all for ourselves–they would probably bring us another one if we ask, but one pot is enough to get us through the morning, thank-you-very-much.
So, if you ever find yourself wandering around in the west-Madison town of Middleton lookin’ to put a feed on, then I recommend that you find the Hubbard Avenue Diner. . .you will find joy and comfort and satisfaction here–I gar-ron-taaaayy!!
