POW! Whenever we want to lunch and not be too weighted down afterward we head out for some Japanese goodness. Over on 11th Street and University in Greenwich Village is a good option for us–a place called Ootoya. The folks at Ootoya serve up lots of delectable set meals with pork, beef, or fish as the protein and lots of fixins like chowamushi, miso soup, veggie medleys, fruit, and rice to round out the meal, and they are all wonderful. Above you see me gobbling a bbq pork miso thing, and my wife has a fabulous fish thing. . .mmmm, aaaahh–we love this place! Plus, all of the food is washed down with a clean, cool, and refreshing bottle of sake that has us soaring by the time we are finished.
