BOOM! Seu Jorge is rockin’ at the Blue Note here in New York City at the moment. . .mmmm, aaaahh! If you have never heard this guy sing before, then you need to check him out at some point. . .go on YouTube and sample some of his tasty song-stylings. . .he is Brasilian, born in Rio, full of all of the rhythms of samba, samba-pop, Brasilian-pop, ballads, covers of tunes from many of your favorite artists: Gershwin, Michael Jackson, Leiber and Stoller, Roy Ayers, and of course, David Bowie–Seu Jorge is the guy who sang and played all of the Bowie tunes in Portuguese that served as transitional moments in the film The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. . .absolutely lovely stuff. . .you will enjoy–I gar-ron-taaaaay!!
Anyway, the Blue Note is a fabulous venue to see Seu Jorge do his thing with his super-tight band. . .get on over there and see him if you can. . .or get on out and hear some great live music wherever you are–great live music makes the passage of time so much more enjoyable than it otherwise would be…jaaa!!
I send you sweet-sounding vibes from the Blue Note in New York City. . .feel them. . .there are none better on planet Earth.
