There has been a wat on this spot for over six hundred years, and the current large stupa or ‘chedi’ was built in 1527 or so. . .I see online that it has been restored a number of times over the years, and I say, “thanks for doing so” to all of the folks who have worked on this thing because it is magnificent and worthy of all the care necessary to keep it standing. . .mmm, aaaahh!
We walk into the large wat itself, and there are lots of folks doing morning chanting. . .we walk around the grounds, and the sunshine is making the whole place shimmer. . .we smell burning incense everywhere, and this warms our hearts. . .we contemplate the mystery of our existence and all that is around us, and we come up with no firm determinations to hang our consciousness on…but we do feel a pulse of energy, we see a glimmer of light, we sense some ‘force’ moving us along, and we are glad.
I send you contented vibes from Wat Lok Molee in Chiang Mai. . .feel them. . .they are oh-most-worthy of your attention.
