Day 39…Banh Mi comparison–

IMG_0245IMG_0248 IMG_0258IMG_0256BAM!  It’s a tie between our two favorite banh mi places in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam.  At the very top you see me gobbling the grilled pork sausage patty banh mi located in a stall at 39 Nguyen Trai Street–absolutely delicious, I just wish that it had more pork patties inside cuz I could inhale about twenty of these tasty little babies–my wife loves this one. . .just below that and just above these words you see me voraciously ingesting the more complex and extremely delectable sandwich from a place called Huynh Hoa located at 26 Le Thi Rieng Street–this one is my favorite because there are a multitude of flavors happening with the variety of meats, veggies, and a special spread that looks something like the chopped liver at Katz’s Deli in New York City, which I totally love. . .so, because my wife loves the pork baby and I love the complex baby we consider this a tie. . .both of these banh mis are fabulous. . .we recommend that you come to HCMC, try both, and decide for yourselves which is the champion. . .mmmm, aaaaahh!

This nomadic wandering stuff through Southeast Asia is fun. . .we send you potent vibes from some of the best banh mi stands in all of Sai Gon. . .feel them. . .they will fuel you throughout the rest of your day and well into tomorrow. . .and tomorrow. . .etc.
