Day 30…Raffles, Phnom Penh–

IMG_8705 IMG_8706  IMG_0015IMG_8707JAAA!  Our nomadic wanderings in Southeast Asia continue with an award-winning gin-and-tonic at the famous Elephant Bar in the Raffles Hotel here in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.  “Everyone” has stayed here: Jackie O, Charles de Gaulle, Somerset Maugham, Mick Jagger (probably, he has stayed everywhere, hasn’t he?), etc. and so on. . .in fact, they have a glass with Jackie’s lipstick on it in a display window near the bar entrance, so you know this place is fabulous:-).

Whether it really is fabulous or not doesn’t really matter, all I know is that we love this bar, and the g-and-t that I am sipping on is light, delectable, tasty, and totally refreshing. . .it certainly wins my award for the number one cocktail in town, and I highly recommend that you pop in here for one or three if you ever find yourself wandering around Phnom Penh lookin’ to wet yer whistle. . .and you will want to wet yer whistle while here cuz it’s hot outside. . .mmmhhmmmm!!

Anyway, I send you welcoming high-end vibes from the Elephant Bar in Raffles Le Royal Hotel here in Phnom Penh. . .feel them. . .you deserve some pampering today.
