So, I’m strollin’ by the United Nations complex on First Avenue in Manhattan, New York City, and I see a group of folks from Eritrea protesting something. . .ah, the work of the peoples of the world never ends. Lots of protests and discussions and negotiations of all sorts happen over here each and every day. It is easy to forget that a lot of world diplomacy takes place on our little island all of the time. . .it is debatable as to how much real good is accomplished over here, but I love the idea of nations trying to be united, the United Nations, when facing various global problems. . .the spirit of this place and the work done here is to be cherished and appreciated. Many don’t agree with lots of stuff that happens here, but all can agree that it is good to at least sit down at tables and talk with people from all corners of the Earth in an attempt to find solutions to problems that everyone can live with. Long live the United Nations both in concept and in reality. . .jaaaa!!
I send you cooperative vibes from the U.N. complex here in Manhattan. . .feel them. . .they mean well.
