MMM! Malaysian food is full of flair, color, daring, and flavor, and the number one place for this exquisite cuisine in New York City has to be a place called ‘Nyonya’ down on Grand Street on the outskirts of Chinatown. Above you see me enjoying the Shrimp Sambal with rice and a tasty fresh Malaysian lemon iced tea. . .really good combination to start with if you have never eaten this style of food before–a little tang mixed with a little sweet–jaaa!. . .and a really good warm up for us as we prepare our palates for the onslaught of Asian food that we are going to experience over the coming months. So, come on down to Nyonya some time and put a feed on. . .you will love–I gar-ron-taaaay!
I send you tasty and fragrant vibes from Nyonya. . .feel them. . .they are like a big hug from yer gran’ma.
