Vietnamese Independence Day–

IMG_0067 IMG_0050 IMG_0045Have a beer, eat some pho bo, and/or take in a lovely sunset in honor of Vietnamese Independence Day.  Seventy years ago today, September 2, 1945, Viet Nam declared independence from France.  Next came the American/Vietnamese War that ended in 1975, and the next forty years were spent working hard to help Viet Nam achieve the status that it enjoys today: member of the World Trade Organization, major exporter of rice and seafood, and now an up-and-coming manufacturer of clothing, shoes, construction equipment, etc.  Quite a story and quite a place. . .I hope that all of you can visit Viet Nam some time before you return to stardust because it is full of great people, great food, great landscapes, and a great human vibe that is well-worth your attention.

I send you nearly-arrived vibes from Viet Nam. . .feel them. . .they are full of hope and magic.

It’s lovely out there.
