Piazzas…everywhere piazzas–

IMG_0065IMG_0064  IMG_0060IMG_0063Piazzas here, piazzas there, piazzas everywhere in Rome, yet there is no piazza more beautiful than this one: Piazza Navona.  This was actually the site of a stadium called the Stadium of Domitian way back in the first century c.e.. . .the stadium eventually faded away over the centuries, it was torn down, and then over time this became the glorious public space that it is today with lots of wonderful Baroque Roman architecture from the fifteenth century or so, a couple of great fountains, expansive views of the Roman sky, and lots of space for sipping espresso and whiling away yet another day of existence on planet Earth.  You gotta check out the Piazza Navona some time before you return to stardust. . .you will love it–I gar-ron-taaaay!!

I send you crisp and scintillating vibes from the Piazza Navona. . .feel them. . .they are full of ease and stupendousness.

To see more amazing images from around our teeny-tiny planet simply click on a location of your choice in the category menu on the ‘About’ page of this blog. . .do it. . .so much to see and soooo little time.

It’s lovely out there.

  1. Yes, Sicily is great. Lots of wonderful stuff to photograph–you should definitely consider checking it out some time–it affected us in a similar way that Bagan did, but the food is fifty times better:-). Please send me any thoughts you might have when you peruse my Sicily posts. A presto. . .ciao.
