AYE! What is it about this land? This Scotland? There is nothing here in the very north, hardly any people, no nightclubs, no fancy restaurants, no great pubs. . .but this place is grabbing us, and it won’t let go. The wind is howling, the beach is rough and rustic, there are no trees. . .just lots of sheep and lots of whisky. . .ah, I am beginning to see the light.
If you are looking for an adventure, then I recommend a drive from London, Edinburgh, or Glasgow all the way up to John o’Groats–the northernmost town in Scotland–where you can simply be with yourself, with a loved-one, and really get down to some serious contemplation of the universe and all of its mysteries. John o’Groats, check it out, you will like. . .I gar-ron-taaay, all you mystery-contemplators out there. . .you know who you are. . .aye!
To see more fascinating images from around our teeny-tiny planet simply click on a location of your choice in the category menu on the ‘About’ page of this blog. . .do it. . .so much to see and soooo little time.
It’s lovely out there.
