Hooray Hanoi!

DSCN3468 DSCN3391 DSCN3379 DSCN3370YES!  It’s the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi. . .the nighttime streets are mystical and atmospheric, the daytime streets are hustlely and bustlely, the people are sweet and open to interaction with gringos like me, and a statue of Lenin still stands in Nguyen Thai Park, also known as Lenin Park, on Dien Bien Phu Street. . .mmmm, aaaaahh!  Everything that you want is here: modern stuff, historic stuff, ancient stuff, fun stuff, tasty stuff, mind-bending stuff, warm stuff, frustrating stuff, forward-thinking stuff, traditional stuff, etc.. . .and it all feels extremely Vietnamese, i.e., a tad rustic with a delicious and inviting flair, and a desire to soar beyond all previous limitations and restrictions.  I love Hanoi for all of these reasons and so many more. . .get over here some time cuz I am confident that you will love it here too.  Xin chao!

I send you wide-open vibes from Hanoi. . .feel them. . .they are easier to find than you think.

To see more amazing images from around our teeny-tiny planet simply click on a location of your choice in the category menu on the ‘About’ page of this blog. . .do it. . .so much to see and sooooo little time.

It’s lovely out there.
