BOOM! It’s the capital of Szechuan Province, Chengdu, in southwestern China. This is far far away from home for me distance-wise but not so far human-wise. Just like every other place I have been on planet Earth there are lovely gardens and a respected university here. . .there are trash recycling and unrecycling bins. . .there are monuments to past “great” leaders. . .and there are road signs pointing folks every which way in an attempt to sort out the whirligig of existence for us feeble, lost humans. There are over one thousand bars in Chengdu. . .in fact, there is a saying in China that the people of Beijing work so the people of Chengdu can play. . .which is what the folks in Brasil say about Sao Paulo and Rio. . .and the folks in Argentina say about Buenos Aires and Mendoza. . .the folks in France say about Paris and the entire Cote d’Azur, etc. and so on. Different in Chengdu and same-same. . .mmmm, aaaahh!
I send you warm and spicy vibes from Chengdu, China. . .feel them. . .they will put a smile on your face if you let them.
