POW! Here we are chillin’ out in a bar called “169 Bar” down on East Broadway on the edge of Chinatown in Manhattan, New York City, and we are extremely happy to be in this joint. An old music guy called Charles Hanson owns this place. . .he bought the bar with the insurance money he received after being hit by a limo while riding his bicycle–this is what it says on the Bar 169 website, and you know what?. . .I believe it. Charles is originally from New Orleans, and this place feels like a bar in New Orleans–kooky decor, fascinating videos being played on various flat-screen televisions, great music pumping through the speakers, interesting NOLA-inspired food served until 4 a.m., eclectic crowd, and lots of great booze on hand for our consumption. . .it feels nearly perfect here. We are happy sippin’, gobblin’, and chillin’ at 169 Bar, and I know that you will be happy here too if you ever find yourself lookin’ for a place to hang while wanderin’ around on the eastern edge of Chinatown.
I send you potent vibes from 169 Bar. . .feel them. . .they can keep you goin’ deep into the night.
It’s lovely out there.
