Here we are puttin’ a feed on in the cozy bar of the Savoy Hotel in Yangon, Myanmar. The beer is cold, the food is tasty, and the vibe is colonial and ‘istoric. Many folks you have heard of have apparently sipped beverages and gobbled snacks right in this very room–Rudyard Kipling, George Orwell, Noel Coward, etc. and so on. Plus, the location of the Savoy is wonderful–only a ten-minute walk or so to the Shwedagan Pagoda, the heart of Burmese Buddhism. . .mmmm, aaahh!
I send you tasty and well-placed vibes from the Savoy in Yangon. . .feel them. . .they are oh-so satisfying.
It’s lovely out there.
