BOOM! Here we are puttin’ a major feed on at the top venue for Quebecois food in New York City…a place called M. Wells Steakhouse located on Crescent Street in Long Island City, Queens. The person responsible for all of the goodness to be found here is Hugue Dufour. . .this dude loves to serve up kooky cuts of meat from all parts of the cow, the lamb, the pig, and the fishes of the sea. He is creative and bold, and if you eat here, then you must be ready to experiment with things that you would not normally eat like brains, head cheeses, pig’s heads, massive cuts of meat, whole fish, something called a Salomon Gundy, bone marrow French onion soup–superb!, etc. and so on. Just jump on the 7 train, get off at the Queensborough Plaza stop, walk ten minutes or so toward the CitiCorp Building, and look for an old converted body shop–the restaurant is inside. . .mmm, aaaahh! Watch as they prepare all of your meats and other dishes on open flames in the open kitchen. . .and get ready to gobble.
I send you inventive and tasty vibes from M. Wells Steakhouse out here in Queens. . .feel them. . .they are worth the effort to find.
