BAM! Here we are sucking down Bloody Marys at the King Cole Bar in the St. Regis Hotel on 55th Street and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, New York City. October 5, 2014 was the 80th anniversary of the invention of the Bloody Mary right here in this very bar. 80 years old and these Bloodys still taste damn good. The original name of this wonderful drink was the Red Snapper, but this was deemed vaguely obscene and the name eventually become the Bloody Mary. I love Bloody Marys. . .aka “salad in a glass”. . .and I especially love sipping on these in their birthplace. Google ‘Bloody Mary birthplace–St. Regis Hotel’ to learn the whole story behind this fabulous cocktail. . .mmmm, aaaahh!
I send you octogenarian vibes from the King Cole Bar. . .feel them. . .they will help you live a long and prosperous life.
