BAM! It’s sushi time at Sushi Seki on First Avenue and 62nd Street in Manhattan, New York City. . .jaaa!! This is my personal favorite sushi joint in all of NYC because it is rustic, low-key, open late, and full of extremely delicious sushi creations from a sushi master, Seki-san. Seki is not as sleek as Yasuda or Nakazawa. . .not as hushed as Ichimura at Brushstroke. . .and not as over-the-top as Gari or Jewel Bako. Seki is subtle and bold at the same time. . .you will never have better sushi anywhere. . .his rice is substantial but understated. . .and the sake list is reasonable and full of delicious options for washing down your uni, yellowtail, toro, eel, snapper, whitefish, and his famous spicy scallop hand roll. . .mmmm, aaaahh! I love gobbling at Sushi Seki (omakase please!!), and you will too if you ever find yourself on the upper east side of Manhattan lookin’ for world-class raw fish to jam into yer gullet.
I send you sublime vibes from Sushi Seki. . .feel them. . .you don’t need no others.
