POW! It’s The Mowata Store in Mowata, Louisiana located on the Crowley-Eunice Highway deep in the heart of Cajun Country. This place used to be really hard to find, but now they have a new location making it very easy to find. This is good because The Mowata Store serves up what many consider to be the tastiest boudin in all of Cajun Country. Boudin is Cajun pork sausage (some folks make versions with crawfish) that has rice and herbs added to it making it a hearty and tasty meal all by itself. . .add some cracklins on the side, and you can find yourself in a state of extreme contentment as you inhale the boudin and crunch away on the cracklins while feeling a warm summer breeze on your face as you gaze out at the vast farm fields surrounding this humble store. Mmm, aaaaahh. . .damn, it is chilled-out and soothing down here–I could eat a lot of boudin right here in this very spot. I love gobbling boudin at The Mowata Store, and you will too if you ever find yourself driving along the Crowley-Eunice Highway lookin’ for somethin’ good to eat.
I send you adventurously tasty vibes from Mowata, Louisiana. . .feel them. . .they are worthy of your attention.
