B.K.S. Iyengar died yesterday in his hometown of Pune, India. Lovely town, Pune, though it is perhaps more famous as the place where the Brits kept Gandhi under house arrest for many years. Anyway, Iyengar made the world a more manageable place for many people by making the asanas of yoga accessible for many who found them inaccessible. I love his primary motto: Live happily, die majestically. Simple and to the point. . .no messin’ around. . .that’s the Iyengar way. We are right behind him, you know. . .so do it y’all–live happily and die majestically dammit! Namaste.
I send soothing vibes to all of you from various spots in and around Mumbai, India. . .feel them. . .they are full of happiness and majesty.
