Chiang Mai moat–

IMG_0009 IMG_0027 IMG_0024 IMG_0014My morning walk in Chiang Mai is a wonderful stroll along the moat and ruins of the ancient city walls that surround the Old Quarter of town.  The Old Quarter was built about seven hundred years ago, and the moat and walls were built to keep out marauding barbarians who continually attempted to attack and infiltrate the capital of the Lanna Kingdom.  I love walking along this perimeter because I can feel the vibes of the ancient folks who have done their thing here for hundreds of years. . .mmmm, aaaaahh!  What an honor to be able to spend time here. . .what a joy to feel the presence of so many hard-working people who have come before me. . .what a privilege to be welcomed here even though I am a farang.  As long as we farangs behave ourselves then all is good.  So behave yourselves when you come here, farangs, visitors must always be polite, respectful, and humble. . .not just here, but everywhere.

I send you brisk strolling vibes from the moat of Chiang Mai. . .feel them. . .they are good for your heart.
