BAM! Here we are gobbling away at another masterful Michael White restaurant called Costata down in the Soho section of Manhattan, New York City. Michael White is THEE supreme pasta man here in NYC–and I would dare say even on all of planet Earth. We absolutely love Osteria Morini and Marea. . .you cannot find better Italian fare anywhere–only different Italian fare. Anyway, now he has a steak-centered establishment, Costata–Italian for ‘rib eye’–and, of course, when dining here you gotta sign-up for the namesake dish, the costata (rib eye) for two. . .mmmm, aaaaahh! The costata for two at Costata is wonderful. . .cooked perfectly medium rare, pink inside, crusty outside, sliced in delectably gobble-worthy strips, and served with the classic tomahawk rib bone upon which this meat once grew. In addition to the steak, one must also sample the crudos that include a tasty sea urchin concoction and langoustines of the most delicious quality. . .PLUS, the menu includes pastas that will blow your mind and fill your belly with warmth and comfort that lingers on and on–gotta have one or two of these on the side. . .jaaaa! I love puttin’ a feed on at Costata, and you will too if you ever find yourself wandering around in Soho lookin’ for some surf, turf, and pasta. Salut!
